i even heard the tune in the movie meet dave when they are dancing in the salsa restaurant...

Without having seen the movie and not finding a list of songs from the movie it's hard to say. No song having anything to do with salsa or with "maria" is listed on the soundtrack.



It could be the song "Un, dos, tres Maria" which Ricky Martin did a few years ago. His version is not salsa but then neither is "Maria, Maria" by Santana.



There's a salsa songs called "Píntate los labios María" and many others as well.

there's one named "maria, maria" by carlos santana. its not really salsa tho. and ive never seen that movie but i guess u can listen to that song and see if thats it
