Question:
Are these clothes alright for dancing classes?

I´ve already posted this question the the Fashion&Accessories section, but I´m also posting it here to get opinions of dancers. So - I´m about to start taking some dancing classes. I was at the dancing school yesterday and I noticed how fabulously all the girls there dress - simple colors, lots of layers, leggins, flowing tops or tanks and wrapping sweaters,... I would feel weird just going there in my yoga clothes so I tried to copy their style and create some outfits. Do you think they are alright? I am also considering getting some leg warmers and a wrapping skirt. For shoes I plan to wear either simple ballet flats or high heels, depending on what the teacher tells me. So do you think these clothes would be alright for dancing classes?

the pink one seems kind of restrictive, but everything else seems fine but I would also suggest talking to your teacher. Also you don't say what kind of dance. I would talk to the teacher about shoes as well and get a pair of propper dance shoes from a dance shop

The set isn't coming up on polyvore, but before buying any dance clothes or shoes you should talk to your teacher. You will need dance shoes, though, they are completely different from regular street shoes. For ballet, you will wear ballet slippers, and the reason that you should talk to your teacher is that she'll tell you whether to buy canvas or leather, full sole or split sole, etc. The same goes for dance clothes - some studios have a very strict dress code and others do not. Just talk to your teacher.

Enjoy your dance class!

It depends on the kind of dancing you're doing. What I see in your link looks a bit restrictive but it might be OK for ballroom or social dance. As far as shoes, it is important that you pick something that isn't too slippery. I suspect that ordinary high heels and ballet flats aren't meant for dancing. I suggest you go to a dance-wear store and get a pair of ballroom shoes. They look just like evening style high heels but the sole is suede or a man-made material that feels like suede.

The link doesn't work. It doesn't matter what the other girls think or wear, it's you, you have to worry about. I wouldn't change a thing, except maybe wear a leotard, tights, and ballet shoes. High heels, aren't good for ballet. Leg warmers would be cute too. A shurg or a ballet type shirt, or pants are good too. Hope I helped.....:)

What kind of dance class are you taking?

If this is your first and only dance class, don't waste your money buying a bunch of stuff to wear to it. find out from the teacher what is needed.

If you are taking a ballet class, then you don't want heels. If you are taking a ball room dance class then you don't want to wear ballet slippers. Talk to the teacher before you buy any shoes.

I dance ballet, lyrical and jazz and that i positioned on fairly that. For jazz i could positioned on virtually what you place on for lyrical. I often positioned on a lululemon precise with some black shorts or basically an honest tank precise for jazz and lyrical. you prefer something that wil help you progression and swap so something stretchy yet no longer dishevelled. The tighter the garments the greater aerodynamic you're. If the the remainder of the scholars are wearing something else in simple terms attempt to overlook approximately it the 1st day and fasten the project later. desire I helped! :D

They would be great! But for that one, the second on the bottom, you should probably take that off, it might get in your way, have fun!
