So I have a lot of question so plz answer,

1. I don't get the "fabric type" which one is the best (out of nylon. Microfibre, velvet, tecni, or georgettes.

2 what is the "bust panel" and "front lining" about?

3. "High cut leg"?

4 what style is best (and most appropriate) for dancers?

Thank you
Btw in 5'2 and 105 "so I'm a small" I've been dancing for 12 years but my parents used to buy all my dance stuff.

1) Nylon and Tecni are probably what you are most accustomed to (check the tags on your current leos). You might want to see if you have any microfibre or georgette clothes in your closet to get an idea of how they feel. Some people don't like the feel of microfibre because it can cling to the fingertips. Velvet is soft and a little fuzzy (usually for performance or winter wear) and georgette is generally a sheer fabric which you might see used for skirts.

2) Bust panel is for ladies who need a little extra support to stop bouncing. Front lining is much like that in a swimsuit and just gives an extra layer of fabric.

3) High cut leg does give the illusion of a longer leg. The leg opening comes up a little higher on your hip. It's a matter of personal preference.

4) Unless your school/studio has a very specific dress code any of the above would be up to personal preference. I will say that most dancers I know (including myself) prefer the regular/ballet cut let in the leotards along with a nylon fabric but, again, you might find you like something else.

To help decide, try shopping around on dance websites to see what you like before ordering to get a better idea of what the fabric and fit look like. Even ask friends what types of leotards they wear if you like the look of them.

Best wishes and happy dancing!
