Okay so I want to try out for my high school poms squad. Tryouts are in April. I have been taking jazz and poms dance classes for 2 years now. But I just want to know like what i should expect when trying out.

Come into it with an open mind. Know that things might not be what you expect them too be. if you've taken pom and jazz for 2 years you should be ok. make friends with all the girls, even if they are good, bad, or indifferent, they all deserve a chance. always have a positive attitude when your'e around anybody who is related to the team. keep anything bad to your self. expect there to be cliques. Dance can be very political. always put you're best foot forward.

well you should expect that some girls are VERYY good and others have trouble doing a high V...... you just have to keep in mind that some have more experience than you and that you ARE better than others... just remember confidence is the key to everything......... and if you do make the squad and end up not liking it just remember that at one time it was what u wanted.....
