Okay, so I can do a backbend, but how do I kick up? Whenever I get into the bridge position and kick up, my legs will always go back down and I would be back in my backbend position again. Any tips on how to accomplish this?

Are you trying to do a handspring or walkover? For a walkover, you need to keep building up the strength in your back. Also, try not to stop when you get to the backbend, keep your momentum going. I learned by doing them downhill (gravity helps you get over). If you're trying to do a standing back, build up your arm and shoulder strength - you'd think it's all in the legs, but it's not. Have someone spot you, and think of travelling up and back. Good luck!

Front Handspring: Get a jogging begin and variety of nearly leap in to a handstand. Then speedily transfer via a bridge function after which simply get up. It's plenty like a entrance limber. Back Handspring: You have to have plenty of leg force to do it since a backhandspring is mainly leg force. Jump backwards speedily relocating via a handstand function and are available backtrack. Tip: Before making an attempt this on floor, check out it on a trampoline. Also if you'll discover a gymnastics coaching core that has open fitness center, check out it on a trampoline there in order that any one can spot you in the event you fall. Remember that a handspring is while you spring from ft to arms and again to ft. Good good fortune! I wish you gain knowledge of your handspring quickly.

i agree with kaligirl too...again, have a spot around, u don't want to get badly injured and then have to be rushed to the hospital...make sure your shoulders are past your hands when in a back bend...and point your toes...join a tumbling class, that would really help.

please be careful and make sure you have a spotter! momentum definitely helps. and kaligirl is right, your back has to be strong enough. you will attempt a back walkover first before a handspring.
