I've searched the Internet High and Low, sideways and front ways for old vintage World War II photos of guys and girls doing the swing dance and/or jitterbug (preferably I am looking for Pics of the army/marines/navy/etc. guys dancing with girls) but I have only found one photo and the quality is terrible.

Does anyone here know where I can find pictures of what I am looking for? If so, I would be eternally grateful! I'm a WWII fanatic, so to add these pictures to my collection would fill me with a sense of satisfaction and completion. lol.

Blessings,

What you're looking for are photos from "USO Dances".

Here are some that I've found:

I also recommend is that you get some still photos or video clips from swing/war movies from the 1940's. These featured professional swing dancers dressed in uniform.

The Library of Congress's American Memory Project (http://memory.loc.gov) is an excellent place for old photographs online.

I went to the 'War, military' section and searched for 'Jitterbug' and found eight pictures. They're not awesome quality, but they're scanned really well - any faults are in the original prints.

You might find more if you search for 'dance'.

There are some neat pictures of sailors doing the Jitterbug.
