Recently, I've decided to take up dance classes just a a fun activity, nothing serious(: But I was wondering, in your opinion, which is harder to learn jazz dance or tap? Oh, and If you want to add in which you enjoy more and why, that would be really helpful as well. Thanks so much for your answers!!

Well I, personally, am a HUGE tap dancer! In my opinion, Tap would be a better class to take if your planning on taking this class for awhile because tap is not demanding in any way whereas in Jazz you may feel bad because other people will be more flexible/ better. I really do love Jazz too, but I honestly Tap would be a better fit for someone who does not want to do anything, like serious. Also, Tap classes can guarantee a great time and good exercise, plus you get rewarded for making noise!

In my opinion, jazz is easier than tap.

I did jazz and tap for five years (a combination class/half an hour each genre for a total of an hour a week) and I learned that tap is very precise even on the easy levels. Jazz is still precise but not as much as tap.

I've now gotten more serious about dancing, but those classes helped me get started.

Good luck! :) <3

Undoubtedly with ballet. It's going to train you procedure and the whole lot you must find out about dance. Ballet is the foundation of each different form of dance, so that is why it is good to begin off with it. Take an simpler class in the opening simply to gain knowledge of the fundamentals. After that you could transfer on to a more developed classification. Upon getting the potential and technique you will be capable to maneuver on into whatever different variety of dance you like. I recommend jazz and faucet. Jazz is more brand new than lyrical and in my view much more fun. Tap will coach you rhythm, for you to aid you in different lessons as good. Tap can also be plenty of enjoyable, but you fairly need to work to get the steps. You'll really have got to work rough to come to be a excellent dancer. Believe me it is a lot harder than it looks.

To me, Jazz is much easier to learn. I've yet to master tap, and I've been doing it since I was three. I don't really think you can learn to tap.. I think it's a talent you're born with. I love jazz because I can express myself with it more. :)
